The Freemasons - The Movie was filmed in a series of locations in London in December 2006. The composition is an algorithm, consisting of 8 rules, in which the various players move between roles of master, freeman, and serf. The players attempt to remain in the role of master but are often overthrown by unruly serfs. The performers in the film are Edward Anderton, Simon Katan, Sarah Scutt, Tom Shelton, Yukkiko Shinohara, and Reynaldo Young. Cinematography is by Summer Yang, and editing and post-production is by Simon Katan.

"I'm sure those locations you chose were no accident - so what I got from it all was notions of national identity, the exclusivity of legacy and the intrusiveness of hegemony. Or is that looking too hard into it."
Elan Gamaker 2007
